Isabella Gomez Moreno

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Université de Montréal, I developed a strong interest in mental health intervention. Through various volunteer experiences, I became motivated to pursue graduate studies in a program aligned with my values and approach to intervention. The Master’s program in Psychoeducation was a natural fit, as its humanistic and ecosystemic approach closely reflects my perspective on intervention and my professional aspirations.

My research interests include gender-based violence, parenting and child development in contexts of vulnerability or immigration, and cultural sensitivity, using a qualitative approach. As a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Martin-Storey, I contribute to various projects within the research team. My master’s thesis is part of a longitudinal qualitative study examining perspectives and experiences of parenting, as well as fertility intentions, among young adults with a history of conduct problems.
