Margot Brument

I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, during which I developed a strong interest in understanding psychological processes. My internships in neuropsychology further strengthened this interest and led me to pursue a new path in psychology. In particular, I worked on the psychological consequences of the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris before turning my research focus toward child maltreatment. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Psychoeducation, continuing this line of research.

My research interests focus on the development of adolescents and young adults, particularly those with identities that may be subject to stigma, and the impact of these experiences on their psychosocial adjustment. I am a research assistant at the Canada Research Chair in Stigma and Psychosocial Development and a student member of the Groupe de recherche sur les adaptations sociales de l’enfance (GRISE).
